What Is Resonance? Resonance is: -The heart’s connective life force that orients us towards love and brings our separate experience of life back into wholeness. -Our unique life path beyond all techniques, tradition, religion and social constructs and guides us towards our fullest potential. -The celebratory energy life emanates when experience is fully embraced without rejection, grasping, or dissociation. -That undeniable feeling that this feels right even if it is uncomfortable, or mysterious (most common when making decisions that are too complex to rationalise or too urgent to analyse). -It is the part of us that is connected to all levels of reality, and harmonizes the uniqueness of the moment with our habitual tendencies. -The experience of life and self merging, and the graceful, effortless quality that arises when the moment is permitted to unfold naturally without control. -It is the feeling that I am in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing, with the right people.

How is anchoring in resonance different from meditation? Meditation is an umbrella term encompassing a vast array of techniques for psychological growth, often with a focus on present moment awareness. Anchoring in resonance is the “just being” state, where every moment is lived to its completion, and allowed to unfold without control. Typically, we begin exploring resonance in the supportive setting of silence and stillness. Eventually, we integrate resonance into all ways of being. In this way, resonance is just our natural, authentic expression, without preference for posture or activity.

Does this mean that one shouldn't learn techniques or specific skills? Techniques, traditions, religions, social constructs can all be resonant so long as they support us to grow in the way we need to. For example, a musician may find it natural to connect with their experience of sound but less so with body sensations. In becoming aware of this, their resonance might naturally guide them towards techniques that help cultivate a stronger connection with body sensations (e.g. body scans, therapeutic touch, physical exercise etc). It is crucial that we remain attentive to when we have learned everything we needed to from one approach. We may be ready to either embrace another approach, or surrender fully to our unique, natural experience.

Why does this approach direct our growth process towards less structure? Continuous resonance leads to full integration with source, which is the unexpressed field of infinite possibilities. To be fully integrated means that in every moment, we are open to all possibilities. Structure is our natural way of preventing experiences that we are not ready for. As we learn to embrace more of our experience, we need less and less structure to keep us in balance.

Are there leaders that guide the community? Yes but not because they have a fixed leadership role, but because their natural leadership qualities will be called upon organically, only when necessary, (e.g. as the community makes decisions, navigates projects, deals with conflict etc.)  In structured communities, the residents may decide temporary roles are needed to stay in balance.

Are decisions made with majority vote? Decisions are made in resonance, which is consensus based in essence, as no one can be forced to do something that doesn’t resonate for them. That said, not everyone has to be involved in every decision, just those for whom it resonates.

What if I need privacy? Living in community does not mean you discard privacy. In communities of resonance, being clear on the setting and environment that is most suitable for you at any given time is crucial for remaining in resonance.

Is this a communist economic model? Communism aspires for everyone to have the same amount. The fund allows people to withdraw the amount they need to honour their unique needs.

What if someone’s needs are so great there isn’t enough money left for the other residents? Before someone is granted access to the fund, there is an assessment as to whether their needs can be met. If their needs are greater than what the fund can provide, they are clearly not meant to be a resident. As the fund grows, people with greater financial needs will be able to gain access. In general though, people with high levels of psychological fulfilment have fewer material and financial needs.

What if I want to keep working? Accessing the Fund of Abundance does not mean you have to stop work. It just means you aren’t working for any other reason than that is what truly resonates and therefore do not expect to be compensated for your time.

But what if someone wants to pay me for my work? Because you have relieved them of the obligation to pay you, their contribution has turned into a gift. You may decide you want that gift to go towards another cause, but you are also welcome to direct the gift towards the Fund of Abundance from which you and your co-residents draw you’re finances from.

Do I have to give up all my assets to access the fund? No. You can keep your assets, you just can’t draw your income from them. If you decide at some point those assets are stymieing your growth by providing unnecessary security, you can donate them to the fund or another cause

What are the long-term possibilities for the fund? The possibilities are vast and include: -Empowering residents to develop systems- health care, educational, technological, environmental- that are not limited or corrupted by the influences of money or the fear of scarcity.  -Children are able to learn for the joy of learning, without their performance being constantly evaluated for indication of future economic value. They can grow up knowing their material and financial needs will be met so long as they decide they wish to remain a resident.  -Health care systems that focus on less profitable but more impactful interventions such as preventative care and mental health. Higher levels of psychological well-being result in dramatic reduction of behaviours associated to chronic diseases. Technological innovation will meet actual needs and not demand created by profit seeking advertisements. Many of the technologies that people use today to cope with high rates of stress and depletion will no longer be necessary. Increased shared resources, taking only what one needs, higher rates of care and connection to nature and animals, increased levels of satisfaction resulting in less consumption etc… all contributing to significantly greater balance with our natural environments. Reduced need for governing systems to manage harmful behaviour, resulting in dramatic reformations to our criminal justice system, with strong focus on rehabilitation. Elimination of fear based deference tactics, punitive isolation, and retribution as a form of vengeance. Elimination of corruption As more communities of resonance arise, resources can be distributed between communities instead of having to go through commercial corridors. As a result, the fund can slowly transition to a system that manages finances, to a system that manages resource distribution based on excess and needs.

Won’t the Fund lead to less competition and therefore less innovation? Innovation is spurred by creativity and inspiration. Creativity is directly related to our ability to see more possibilities, take risks and look at things outside the box- all things that are limited by fear of scarcity and the pressure to conform. Inspiration once derived by the pressure to outperform each other (to prove one’s social and economic value), is substituted by a far more potent inspiration- feeling truly interested in what one is doing, truly connected to the those that will benefit from what one is sharing, and the sense of overall growth and fulfilment.
