Shelter:

In Puerto Rico, we have an apartment that costs 290$/month. this Glamping tent ($0-2,500) will meet our needs whilst we learn to construct a home with bamboo and adobe. The tent will be donated to the course space once we no longer need it. 

Outside of Puerto Rico, we are usually accommodated by family and friends but we'd occasionally need to rent accommodation. $0-2,000/year feels sufficient.

Food:
Depending on where we are, our food costs vary. For now, we consume an average of $250 of groceries per month. We anticipate lower expenses once we have a flourishing food forest on the land.

 

Miscellaneous: household, hygiene products, clothes, shoes, etc.

Transportation:
Until the Fund of Abundance has enough funds to purchase a long-term sustainable vehicle for the community of resonance in PR, we need access to a vehicle. Maddy will purchase a temporary car for approximately 0-5,000$. Gas, maintenance, carbon offsetting: 1500/year.
Occasional access to a rented or borrowed vehicle when in NY or France: approximately 0-1000$ per year

Administration:
Maddy requires $1,800-2,300 to apply for her green card to become a long term resident of the U.S.
We need to repay $1,800 loaned to us by family and friends.

Travel:

• Puerto Rico -- New York an average of three times a year for residential immersions and to see family and friends. Approximate costs: $0-1,200 for the year.

• East Coast of America -- London to see Maddy's family once or twice a year:
  Approximate cost: $0-2,500 for the year.

• London -- France to see both of our families and friends 2-3 times per year.
  Approximate costs: $0-600 per year.

• Travel to new places to share residential immersions and for our own growth:
  Approximate costs $0-2,000 per year.

• Miscellaneous travel costs (public transportation, events, activities):
  Approximately $0-600 per year.

Eventually, we aspire to travel by sailboat, substituting air travel with sea travel whenever possible, at less cost and in greater harmony with the environment.

Leisure:

• Jeremy: to go on a multiple day outdoor adventure twice a year: Approximate cost:  $0-1000

• Jeremy: spontaneous opportunities for joy: $0-60/month

• Maddy: to go on adventures or travel with friends or family: $0-1,200/year

• Maddy: activities (dance, surf,...): $0-80/month

We both have a need for finances to honour our psychological need to be generous, whether that is cooking for others, expressing gratitude  (i.e for accommodation),  donating to projects, buying gifts or traveling to see someone in need etc.
